Hare Hill House Christmas Market
Sunday 24th November
11am – 3pm

Our celebration of Routes, Networks and Connections, examined the importance of Littleborough’s location, the influence of the Newall family and we heard about the conservation works at Rochdale Town Hall.

Our volunteers provided guided tours around Hare Hill House and shared their knowledge of the history of the House and its occupants. In the Council Chamber a volunteer led a discussion from the 1960’s about the benefits and disadvantages of the then proposed new M62 motorway.

The Sister’s in Stitch group produced a magnificent map of the various routes, Roman Roads, Packhorse Routes, Toll Roads, Canal, Railway, and Motorway that have all passed through or close to Littleborough. Our thanks go to the Sisters in Stitch.
